Laughter is Good Medicine

Feeling rundown? Try laughing more.

I had the good fortune to raise a child who is seriously comical! From as early as elementary school, she would come home with the most hilarious stories, and I would literally roll over with laughter. She is still at it!!

A good sense of humor, a positive attitude, and the support of friends and family play an important role in our overall well-being. Some researchers think laughter just might be the best medicine, helping you feel better and putting that spring back in your step.

Here’s what the Mayo Clinic has to say: Laughter is a great form of stress relief, and that's no joke. When you start to laugh, it doesn't just lighten your load mentally, it actually induces physical changes in your body, such as stimulating organs, soothing tension, improving mood, and relieving pain.

Fascinating facts about laughter:

  • You’re more likely to laugh around others
